CBAM Exporter Pack helps exporters organise their records and calculate embedded emissions using the methods published by the European Commission. It does not verify emissions. Under EU CBAM rules, actual emissions can be used by an EU declarant only after an accredited verifier has confirmed them. All figures produced by this service are drafts for you and your verifier to check.

Independent site

CBAM Exporter Pack is run by an independent business. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the European Union, the European Commission, the UK government, HMRC or any national authority. EU default values, benchmarks, certificate prices and legal texts are reused under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU on the reuse of Commission documents; UK texts are reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0; the source and date of each data set are shown where it is used. Product descriptions in languages other than English are our own translation of the EU texts, and figures shown with a mark-up or free allocation are our calculation from them.

Cost calculators

The free cost calculators give an indicative estimate based on EU default values, benchmarks and phase-out factors as published at the date shown on the page. They use the latest CBAM certificate price published by the Commission, or the price you enter; the price your importer actually pays may differ. They ignore carbon prices paid outside the EU and may not reflect later amendments to EU law. Amounts in other currencies use daily exchange rates from a free public data set and are for orientation only.

Free document tools

The supplier letter, buyer summary, contract clause, monitoring plan, data workbook, verification checklist, readiness check, communication template checker and data request pages produce drafts, checks and templates. They are not official Commission forms. You are responsible for what you send, and for checking it against the regulation and with your verifier. The product checker and the 2028 scope comparison show today's coverage and the published proposals; proposals are not law until adopted.

Translations

Pages in languages other than English are provided for convenience and may contain errors. The English pages and the official EU texts prevail.

Automated document reading

Quantities read from uploaded documents are extracted automatically and can be wrong. Every extracted value must be reviewed and accepted by you before it is used in a calculation.
